Where we work
Therapy Ahead is community-based rather than tied to a single clinic address. Depending on your child’s needs, therapist availability and the setting, support may take place at home, at school, or in the community environments where everyday skills are naturally used.

Across the Greater Toronto Area and into Waterloo Region.
We may also be able to support families in neighbouring communities. Contact us with your location and we can let you know whether service is currently available in your area.
Which settings make sense depends on your child. Most families use more than one.

The place most routines actually happen, and often where a small change makes the biggest difference to a week.

When appropriate and coordinated with the family, school and therapy team, support may take place in educational settings.

Practising skills in the places they are actually used, with the noise and unpredictability that come with them.
Learning a skill in one setting does not always mean it will transfer everywhere else. Practising across real-life environments can help a child use a skill with different people, routines and situations. How much that helps, and how quickly, differs from child to child.
Service availability depends on location, therapist matching, scheduling, and whether the setting can appropriately accommodate services. We will be straight with you about what is possible in your area before anything is arranged.
